Season Tickets and Additional Perks announced for Beyond's "Uncharted Territory" Weekly Series
New Year's Eve was a huge day for Beyond Wrestling. That morning the promotion announced plans for "Uncharted Territory," a live weekly wrestling program that will debut here on IWTV on April 3. The Wednesday night events will air every week starting at 8pm Eastern Time live from Electric Haze in Worcester, Massachusetts and aims to help uncover the hidden gems of the wrestling scene, providing a consistent platform for them to develop into the next generation of wrestling stars.
Just today Beyond announced that Uncharted Territory ticketing will be broken down into seasons and fans will have an option to purchase season tickets that come with additional perks including a free season long subscription to IWTV. Click here for more details.
Beyond followed up the Uncharted Territory announcement with a big event that night, Heavy Lies The Crown, which streamed live on IWTV. For the second straight year HLTC gave fans the opportunity to ring in the New Year with an outstanding night of wrestling action featuring a who's who of the indie wrestling scene. The card was newsworthy in several ways:
- Eddie Kingston defeated Stokely Hathaway in a number one contendership match for the Independent Wrestling Championship. Hathaway had put together an unlikely winning streak in Beyond in recent months, but Kingston was able to end that run in a decisive fashion. After the match he called out then IWTV Champion Tracy Williams who had been doing commentary for the match and a title match was set for January 11 at St Louis Anarchy.
- In a shocker, Chris Dickinson demolished David Starr in just 16 seconds and made a definitive case that Beyond Wrestling is his house in the process.
- MJF showed up unnannounced and issued an open challenge. Unfortunately for him the challenge was answered by Kris Stadtlander who continued her streak of impressive performances on Beyond events that started at September's Please Come Back. Stadtlander, who defeated Kylie Rae at the previous nights Women's Wrestling Revolution event, pinned MJF and remains undefeated in Beyond.
- In the last match of 2018, Orange Cassidy ended the 300-plus day reign of "Hot Sauce" Tracy Williams and became the new Independent Wrestling Champion. The extremely unorthodox Cassidy has become a major fan favorite in recent months and had earned the title shot by defeating David Starr in November. The reign of Cassidy officially began just moments before the New Year began and his first defense will be against Eddie Kingston on January 11 at St Louis Anarchy's Gateway To Anarchy.
- The first match of 2019 proved to be a wild affair that saw Josh Briggs best Nick Gage in a bloody Fans Bring The Weapons match. Briggs has been on a tear for months and has vowed to never lose in a Beyond ring again.
