AEW's Private Party are heading to IWS, IWS archives come to IWTV
Private Party (Marq Quen and Isiah Kassidy) have very quickly become one of the hottest acts in All Elite Wrestling, and the breakout AEW stars will soon be making their way to Montreal's International Wrestling Syndicate. IWS released a video today on their social media revealing that Quen and Kassidy will wrestle Tabarnak de Team (Mathieu St. Jacques and Thomas Dubois) for the IWS Tag Team Championships on November 8, at the promotion's One Night Only event.
The dynamic Private Party should be a good fit for IWS, which has long been one of the most influential promotions in independent wrestling. Founded over twenty years ago, from the very beginning IWS showcased a type of wrestling unseen in Quebec. Blending innovative offensive with a hardcore/death match style, IWS quickly became one of the hottest indie promotions in North America.
Over the years IWS has served as a launch pad for the careers of some of pro wrestling's top stars. "Speedball" Mike Bailey, AEW's Dark Order and NXT's Chase Parker and Matt Martel have all been major parts of IWS history. Perhaps most notably, Independent wrestling legends El Generico (possibly WWE's Sami Zayn) and Kevin Steen (now WWE star Kevin Owens) cut their teeth in IWS, where they both had long and storied runs including multiple stints as the IWS World Heavyweight Champion.
Always on the cutting edge, IWS was the first promotion to have an online wrestling show (IWS Bloodstream), have appeared on television and pay-per-view all across Canada and are currently available with both French and English commentary on RDS2, Fight Network and Fight Network UK.
Additionally, today IWTV has released over two dozen classic IWS events. Dating back to 2003, these shows include several of the most important events in the companies history and feature IWS stalwarts like Sexxxy Eddy, The Green Phantom, Franky The Mobster and PCP Manny, as well as Generico, Steen, Bailey, PCO, 3.0, The Super Smash Brothers, Shayne Hawke and more.
