Weekend Wrap-Up: More Announcements Regarding The Collective Including The First Match For Family Reunion
It's Monday which means it's time to review the news and notes from the weekend that was in indie wrestling.
- Southern Underground Pro's first event of the year, I Am King, took place on Sunday in Nashville, Tennessee and the show was an eventful one. In the main event Brett Ison successfully retained his Bonestorm Championship over Nick Gage in a wild brawl. After the match chaos reigned as O'Shay Edwards confronted Ison in the ring only to be attacked by Sadkampf (Kevin Ku and Dominic Garrini). Mr Brickster and Cabana Man Dan made the save and after order was restored SUP officials announced that Ison and Sadkampf would team up to take on the team of Edwards, Brickster and Dan on Thursday, April 4 at White Eagle Hall in Jersey City, New Jersey when IWTV presents Family Reunion as part of The Collective. The match is the first bout announced for Family Reunion so far. I Am King will be available on demand here on IWTV soon.
- Black Label Pro announced that "The Ragin Bull" Manny Fernandez will be a part of their event taking place at The Collective, Adventures In Wrestling. The former NWA World Tag Team Champion is no stranger to BLP as he competed in their Darkest Timeline Tournament in October of 2017.
- Speaking of Black Label Pro's Adventures In Wrestling talent announcements, the promotion also revealed that "The Lone Star" Curt Stallion will be making his BLP debut at the event. Stallion is the current Glory Pro Crown Of Glory Champion and one of the top prospects on the indie scene.
- Inter Species Wrestling announced two new matches for their Balls Out: Boner Jam IV event which will also be taking place as part of The Collective. Fluffy The Killer Bunny vs LSG and Kickin' N Stompin' vs The Bucher And The Blade were added to the card and ISW also announced that the Chili Kid is out and Pinkie is in for the four-way bout already announced that also includes Tony Deppen, Jigsaw and Werewolf Of Wall Street.
- On Friday Brii Combination Wrestling held their Queen Of The North Tournament in New York City. Faye Jackson was able to best Savannah Evans and Davienne in the first round, before defeating Tasha Steelz, Kris Stadtlander and Aja Perera in the four-way final to win the tourney and become the BCW Women's Champion. - Despite a major snow storm, Alpha-1 Wrestling put on their Buck Wild 2 event in Oshawa, Ontario on Sunday. The show featured a show stealing bout between Alpha-1 Tag Team Champs The Space Pirates and the reunited Troll Boyz (Ethan Page and ACH). Buck Wild 2 will be available on demand here on IWTV soon.
