Weekend Wrap-Up - Chikara's Young Lions Show Up And Show Out

A New Young Lion wins the Cup and King Of Trios details are announced in this weeks Weekend Wrap-Up!

  • Chikara's fifteenth Young Lions Cup tournament took place in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on Saturday, March 16. The First Stage was held in the afternoon and saw the sixteen person field trimmed down via four four-way eliminators. Later that evening the Second Stage saw the semi-finals take place, leading to a finals bout that saw Still Life with Apricots and Pears emerge victorious over Boomer Hatfield to win the Cup. The show also saw Mr. Touchdown defeat Icarus and ask interim Grand Champion Dasher Hatfield to relinquish the title back to him. Hatfield attacked him instead, leading to Director Of Fun Bryce Remsburg announcing that the two men will compete in a ladder match for the Grand Championship at Chikara's Once Upon A Beginning event which takes place on Friday, April 5 at 12pm EDT in Jersey City, New Jersey as part of The Collective.
  • Chikara also announced over the weekend that King Of Trios 2019 will take place in Reading, Pennsylvania at The Goodwill Beneficial Association on October 4, 5 and 6. Tickets for King Of Trios can be purchased here.
  • ACTION Wrestling presented their ACTION For St. Patrick's Day event in Tyrone, Georgia on Saturday afternoon. The outdoor event saw Michael Marshall defeat Caleb Konley, Billy Buck beat Logan Stunt and more. You can check out all of ACTION's events here.
  • Wild Zero and Beyond Wrestling held their joint event Ceremony in Syracuse, New York on Sunday, March 17. The show saw Chris Dickinson defeat Jay Freddie and IWTV Champion Orange Cassidy successfully defended his title in a 5-way bout that featured Anthony Greene, Dick Justice, Joey Ryan and Puf.
