And New! Major Title Changes across IWTV this past weekend!
Major title changes have taken place all over the independent wrestling landscape over the last few weeks.
On March 4th and 5th two of the top championships in the Southeast changed hands on consecutive days.
On the fourth, Kevin Ku ended the year-plus long title reign of Arik Royal to become ACTION Champion at The Movement Begins. The next day at the Scenic City Rumble, Jaden Newman defeated AJ Gray in a major upset to become the SUP Bonestorm Champion.
On March 11th and 12th, both the Prestige Championship and the American Deathmatch Championship changed hands twice.
The Prestige Title was won by Titus Alexander on the eleventh at Savage Mode, when he pinned Alex Shelley. Savage Mode also saw Jacob Fatu defeat AJ Gray to become the West Coast Pro Wrestling Champion. The next day at As Real As It Gets, Shelley regained the Prestige Championship when he pinned Alexander in a triple threat match that also featured Rey Horus.
That same weekend, Australian death match star Joel Bateman defeated Reed Bentley at ICW Pitfighter X10 to win the American Deathmatch Championship. After a successful defense against AKIRA the following night at ICW No Holds Barred Vol. 23, Bateman lost the title to Eric Ryan in an impromptu main event moments after Ryan had earned his number one contenders status by besting John Wayne Murdoch.
